How to support a friend struggling with infertility

If you have friends undergoing fertility treatments, you may be unaware of how to best support them.

For some couples, fertility treatments can be an exhausting process and can place tension on finances.

The emotional stress that comes with infertility may cause patients to pursue treatments that are not in their best interest.  However, it is probably not your place to point that out.

If you have friends who are seemingly throwing away money in order to conceive, it’s best to ask them what support you can offer rather than criticize their decision.

Some people may just need a shoulder to lean on or an open ear.  Just make sure you pay attention to their needs before giving your opinion.
